YWCA Welcomes New Board of Directors

Volunteers Needed at Premier Event

YWCA Metropolitan Chicago is looking for individuals interested in volunteering at our largest fundraiser, Leader Luncheon on Thursday, October 19 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Volunteers will help with day of event logistics and will be given free admission to the event, which includes a complimentary lunch. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact events@ywcachicago.org.

YWCA Honors Cheryl Mayberry McKissack

YWCA Metropolitan Chicago is proud to announce Cheryl Mayberry McKissack as the recipient of the 2006 Outstanding Leadership Award for Entrepreneurship. McKissack will be presented with her award at the YWCA Leader Luncheon on Thursday, October 19 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. McKissack is the founder, president and chief executive officer of Nia Enterprises, LLC, a Chicago-based research, systems integration and marketing services firm founded in January 2000.  Nia Enterprises, LLC provides opt-in, permission-based marketing data solutions for the growing and specialized market of African American women and their families. Everyone Loves a Parade!

The 77th annual Bud Billiken Parade is on Saturday, August 12 and the YWCA would love to see you there! The Bud Billiken Parade is the largest of its kind in the nation and entertained more than 1.5 million spectators in 2005! Come walk with us! For more information or to register to walk, please click here.

YWCA Chicago Hosts National President
