Get Involved and Eliminate Racism
The YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago celebrated the Day to Eliminate Racism on Wednesday, May 4. This was an incredibly exciting day to reach thousands of people with our message and engage a whole new audience in our mission.
We conducted a community awareness campaign. Advertisements appeared May 4 in the Chicago Tribune, Red Eye, and Crain's. Online ads were placed on Chicago Tribune and MetroMix websites. To further extend our reach, buttons and bookmarks were distributed during the morning commute at ten sites throughout Chicago and the suburbs.
Be sure to tell us what you did to celebrate the Day to Eliminate Racism so we can celebrate your success. Send your story to madeline.rich@ywcachicago.org.
