Community Partnerships

The YWCA is thrilled to collaborate with organizations throughout the community to best serve women and girls.

Ricky Byrdsong Memorial 5K Race Against Hate - So many businesses and organizations have helped make the Race Against Hate a big success again this year. Special thanks to our anniversary sponsors, who have committed to supporting the Race for three years leading up to the tenth anniversary in 2009.

Eagle Scout makes a difference - As part of his Eagle Scout project, David Creamer of Kenilworth Boy Scout Troop 13 planned and landscaped two gardens for the YWCA and cleaned outdoor porch areas. To fund the project, he distributed 870 solicitation letters within his community. After covering his expenses, he contributed the remaining funds, nearly $3,100, to Mary Lou's Place. Thank you, David!

Celebrating Philanthropy

The YWCA Evanston/North Shore recently received increased support from the Alphawood Foundation for domestic violence services and renewed funding from the Field Foundation for community based services.

We are pleased to announce our new funding partners: the Full Circle Foundation for domestic violence services and TJX Foundation for violence prevention work.
