The YWCA Elgin is an autonomous non-profit entity which is separate and apart from the YWCA USA. Incorporated in 1901, the YWCA employs approximately 60 people. Its mission is to provide a safe nurturing environment where women, families and youth of diverse backgrounds may gather.
