After reopening its county office in Ethiopia, Young women Christian Association (YWCA) has been promoting the culture of voluntarism by letting girls participate in the association's different development programs, its Secretary General told The Daily Monitor on Saturday.

At an event organized in the Asfaw Wosen elementary school in Addis Ababa to commend 40 Ethiopian girls for their efforts in participating in a volunters summer technique program the Association's Secretary Melat T/Tsadik said the YWCA which is engaged in different Skill-training projects for vulnerable women who do not have income generating means, was now helping girls to volunteer in teaching children through the Association's Youth-to-youth Interaction Program.
