Swimming pools and fitness rooms are images that usually come to mind when you think of the YWCA.


But it's more about services than sports at the YWCA High Point, said Executive Director Heidi Majors.

"We do offer the aquatics and wellness and the fitness areas,” she said. “But the majority of our programs go to the empowerment of women."
