Site Administrator/Youth Manager

ACCOUNTABLE TO: President & CEO

BASIC FUNCTION AND FOCUS: Site Administrator to YWCA Discovery Place. Oversee daily operations, manage staff members, market effectively, community collaborations, and assists in grant writing and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:

Relationships:

  • Presents YWCA Youth Development program in a positive and knowledgeable manner.
  • Treats children with dignity and respect while helping each child to become aware of their individuality.
  • Cooperates with staff members in order to ensure successful program operation.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with school staff members.
  • Communicates with families while creating meaningful relationships.
  • Collaborates with community agencies.

Program:

  •  Maintains statistical logs as necessary.
  • Handles child enrollment process.
  • Ensures required ODJFS, CACFP, Youngstown Fire, Youngstown Health, YWCA, and any paperwork are kept on file at all times

Interviewing

  • Develops ongoing communication with parents and families.
  • Maintains YWCA’s youth policy and seeks to further the quality of programming.
  • Implements assigned projects.
  • Contributes ideas and suggestions for program improvements.

 Facilities and Equipment

  • Assures that center facilities and equipment are kept in good standing.
  • Maintains center equipment inventory.

 Recruitment

  • Contributes ideas and suggestions for effective recruitment on a regular basis.
  • Seeks public speaking engagements or public promotional opportunities for YWCA Childcare.
  • Maintains center attendance at an average of 70% of center capacity.

 Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or the equivalent per Step Up to Quality’s career pathway levels. Required to obtain a satisfactory medical exam and criminal report as well as securing required documents.
