UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent milestone. We raised $2,685 in 5 days! We've raised 5,685 so far!
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far. Unfortunately, our vans have broken down again since we first sent out our call to action a few weeks ago. They've been repaired in the meantime, but this shows the amount of time and money that go into keeping them in working order. Please join the donors who have raised $3,000 for us to replace our aging vans. WE NEED SAFE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION FOR OUR GIRLS. DONATE NOW!
A Map of our Service Area - 36 MILES PER DAY!
The girls we serve are primarily from families who find it difficult
to provide transportation for their daughters to and from our programs. A
number of parents are unable to afford a car or must work long hours in jobs
with little flexibility, making it difficult to drop off and pick up their
daughters. Our current aging vans were purchased
in 2000, and after 16 years of almost daily use and multiple incidents of
vandalism, they need frequent and expensive repairs. We need to update our vans with safer, more reliable vehicles with
improved safety features.
work has a powerful impact not only on the girls that we serve, but also on the
Pasadena community as a whole. We are reliant on charitable donations in order
to be able to continue to provide these services. That is why we ask you to
remember the YWCA Pasadena with a charitable contribution to support our
important work year round. Any amount you can
share is greatly appreciated and will go towards our goal of purchasing
new vans for our programs.
When we support the
growth and empowerment of women and girls, we improve the quality of life for
all. Women lead in their communities, act as role models for youth, and give
voice to issues that are important to our collective future. Please join us in
our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women by
making a donation today. Click DONATE NOW or visit www.ywca-pasadena.org to make a donation to the YWCA Pasadena-Foothill Valley. You can help us change the world, one girl at
