  Maintenance Technician 
YWCA Madison is seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician for our 101 E. Mifflin St. location. The Maintenance Technician will function as a member of the larger YWCA facilities team with a primary responsibility for the maintenance and repair of YWCA properties.
This position will be responsible for regular maintenance within our building, tenant units, and unit turn overs for our residential housing. To include basic plumbing, carpentry, flooring, electrical, and cleaning of heating and cooling systems/filters. The job responsibilities cover most aspects of facility maintenance. Proficiency in all of them is not required; a good mechanical aptitude and the willingness to learn are important.
This is a full time, 40 hrs./week position. The regular work schedule is first shift, Monday – Friday, with a willingness to be ‘on call’ for after-hours emergency calls on a rotating/shared basis with other facilities staff. This position offers a competitive wage with excellent benefits package.
The ideal candidate will possess a High school diploma/equivalent and one to three years related experience/training. The ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds while operating safely in accordance with OSHA regulations and other industry standards.
