National Recovery Month

September is National Recovery Month!

YWCA Northeast Indiana’s Hope House program has been helping women turn their lives around since 1981 by offering a structured and well-organized program to provide women with opportunities to pursue recovery and self-sufficiency. Women complete this program with a strong foundation of recovery, employment, and are ready to reunite with their families.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, SAMHSA, sponsors National Recovery Month every September to give people a better understanding of mental and substance use disorders, an awareness of the problem and to celebrate those who commit to recovery. The 2017 theme is Strengthen Families and Communities.

YWCA Northeast Indiana’s September Diversity Dialogue, September 27, recognizes Recovery Month and will focus on “Recovering Together: Helping Families of Addiction.” We will be posting other events throughout the community on this page as we learn of them.
