community outreach and education

YWCA Evanston/North Shore makes a concerted effort to raise awareness and educate the community about domestic violence issues. Through this work we reach out to educational institutions, faith-based organizations, health care agencies, businesses, and civic organizations to speak about the complexities and importance of the issue, offer resources that can help, and advocate for solutions to end the violence. Each presentation is specifically tailored to the audience with whom we are speaking, and concrete actions are offered as ways that people can get involved.
