Riverside County

Since 1906, the YWCA Riverside County has worked to help women grow physically, intellectually and spiritually.  The YWCA Riverside County is affiliated with the YWCA USA; a women’s membership movement dedicated to the empowerment of women and the elimination of racism.  Sharing in the national mission, the YWCA Riverside strives to develop programs that improve the quality of life for women and their families throughout Riverside County.

Women of Achievement 25th Anniversary

You are invited to nominate one or more outstanding women for an award to be presented at the Women of Achievement Luncheon on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Riverside Convention Center.

This annual event honors extraordinary women who exemplify the ideals of the YWCA organizational mission. Through the Women of Achievement awards, the YWCA recognizes exceptional women who serve as role models by making noteworthy contributions to the civic, economic, and cultural life of Riverside County. Women must live and or work in the County of Riverside to be considered.

Born Free & Habitat for Humanity Project
Habitat for Humanity Riverside has agreed to work outside of its usual
area to help the YWCA’s Born Free Program. Through this collaboration
we are working to build a duplex so that we can continue to house our 6
Born Free clients as they work through their recovery and pregnancy.
Additionally we will have the space to house 3 of our graduates in our
Sober Living house so that they will remain on track to leading a drug free life for themselves and their babies. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity!!!
