donations New policy and procedures

Because of limited space and staff, as well as safety issues for our clients, YWCA is now partnering with other local organizations for item donations.  Beginning February 1, 2009, we ask that all donations of clothing, used toys, child safety seats, furniture and other household items be taken to one of our donation partners (see below).

Currently in need of: Groceries, pillows, sheets, blankets, cleaning and laundry supplies, personal hygiene products, towels, underwear, socks, diapers, baby formula, bus tokens, gas and phone cards, office supplies, auction/raffle prizes, paper towels, Kleenex, dressers, gift cards, blank DVDs, batteries.

Partners: Please take donations of clothing, toys, infant seats, etc. to: Acts of Kindness (A-OK), a nonprofit agency that offers all donated product free to those in need.  Items are offered by appointment only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 1-5 p.m. To arrange a donation or make an appointment to receive donations, call (608) 728-0841. A-OK is located at 1212 S. Oakhill Ave., Janesville.
