The YWCA Evanston/North Shore is continually striving for positive social change. Here's what we're working on now:

The Story Project: What Women Need We'd love to hear your story so that we can better understand the experiences and needs of local women and to identify our common struggles. May 26, 2009 - The Young Women's Leadership Board hosted "Spring into Summer" a fundraising party with live music by Consortium and Canasta at SPACE in Evanston. The event netted over $1,700 for the YWCA - thank you, YWLB!

Community Partnerships

The YWCA is thrilled to collaborate with organizations throughout the community to best serve women and girls.

Celebrating Philanthropy

We are thrilled to welcome Dynamic Colors as the newest member of our Business Roundtable. Dynamic Colors has offered to donate a portion of the proceeds of painting jobs to our work when you mention the YWCA.

Building Healthy Relationships, our program for teens, is in its pilot phase this year and is with support from the Chicago Foundation for Women and the Avon Foundation. 

Financial Literacy for Women in Transition was launched last year with funding from the Evanston Community Foundation. This program recently received additional support from the Bank of America.
