a voice for women an agent of change Since 1903, the YWCA of St. Joseph County has been the leading advocate for women and children in our community.  Through a combination of service and social action we reach out to women who are seeking solutions to abusive situations, who are fighting chemical dependency, who are in need of job training and education and who want to improve their lives for themselves and their children.

A critical player in the effort to improve the lives of women and children, the YWCA recognizes our mission cannot be furthered without significant partnerships with the business community, community leaders, lawmakers, other non-profits, the criminal justice system and the media.

We are strong alone yet more powerful together.

Created by women for women, we have pledged all of our resources, talents and skills to ensure the success of the mission of the YWCA...eliminating racism empowering women
