Women of Vision is a signature event of the YWCA Wausau.  During the past 17 years, we have honored a total of 53 women with our Women of Vision awards.  Women from all walks of life have received this designation for their contributions to life in our community and surrounding area.  We have recognized artists, authors, educators, and those who have initiated new programs.  We have also presented this award to leaders in business, civic, non-profit, health care, government and volunteer pursuits. 

All of these women had a strong desire to help others and a vision to make our communities better places in which to live.   The Women of Vision luncheon has a tradition of inspiring audiences of both women and men, year after year.  In May 2009 a crowd of more than 500 people welcomed author Lorna Landvik to the event, which was held at the Rose Garden.  For 2010, we will be welcoming another author, Sandra Kring, as our keynote speaker.  Tickets for the event will go on sale in early April 2010 at the YWCA Wausau.  Please call the YWCA Wausau at 842-3381, extension 101 for details.
