This position is under the direction of the Branch Director and Program Specialist. Plan, teach and support adults with disabilities by providing safe transportation from sheltered workshops to various leisure/social outings & program activities. Activities are designed to help participants recognize community support systems & resources that will assist them in increasing their independent living skills. Work towards achieving consumer outcomes. Evaluate an document progress. Assist with preparation of reporting, attendance, travel arrangements. Plans and teaches classes that address the outcomes established in the MR/DD and PLB grants. Responds in a positive and appropriate way when interacting with consumers. Has the classroom, supplies and refreshments ready for arriving consumers. Provide program specialist with documentation on progress of outcomes. Assists with preparation of necessary monthly reports. Attendance sheets are always current and correct. Assists in Making travel arrangements and sending consumer letters to ensure that trips are well organized and safe. One out of four on average trips will be to new environments. Files documents in a manner that ensures records are current and can be obtained quickly. Assists in putting together and distributing monthly calendars as needed. Maintains purchases and orders supplies to ensure necessary supplies are consistently available for routine operations. Drives program van in a safe manner to ensure the health and safety of consumers, if applicable. High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred. Enthusiastic team player with the ability to interface with members and staff. Excellent customer service skills. Certified in Community First Aid, CPR, and Blood borne pathogens. Class E drivers license. 1-3 years practical experience preferred in related field and must be at least 21 years of age. Must have chauffeurs license with in the first 30 days of employment.

Responsible for supervision of staff and implementation, evaluation and overall management of day to day operations of South City program site. Includes full day program service and days off during school year. Work towards increasing participation and achieving milestones and performance targets of each student and program goals. Operate a safe and quality program, meeting DHSS regulations. Job requirements: AA or BA in Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education or related field; or minimum of 60 college credit hours (12 child related); 3-5 years experience in employee supervision and administering youth programs;ability to provide physical, TB test, and Hepatitis A shots; possess/obtain CPR and First Aid Certification, and pass a criminal background check.

Coordinate daily food service for assigned center by accepting/inspecting food delivery and preparing food for family-style dining to ensure adequate nutrition is provided to children in a safe and sanitary manner; maintain a clean, sanitary and safe food preparation area including equipment and utensils to promote safe food service operation for children and staff; received and inspect food deliveries for the center to ensure safety of the food for children; maintain safe use and storage of all utensils, food service equipment, food and non-food supplies including chemicals in order to promote safe operations; serve food in manner appropriate for family-style dining to support program standards and goals; track children with special dietary needs and provide substitutions seeking direction for the Nutrition Specialist as needed to ensure the health and safety of all children; complete and maintain necessary documents to support food service contract and remain in compliance with state and local Health Departments; responsible for participating and conducting nutrition education experiences for children, staff and parents; and reports all incidences of health and safety violations to the supervisor and follows through until corrections are made. Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; successful completion of Serve-Safe sanitation certificate required within 6 months of employment. Agency will support employees with a one-time stipend to offset the cost of the certification.
