Concealed Revealed was conceived by a group of Washburn University art students in 2004 as a way to involve the art community in the effort to stop violence against women.
In addition to raising much-needed funds, Concealed Revealed serves to raise awareness of domestic and sexual violence. For too long, violence against women has been considered a private family matter or a shameful secret. Through art, we hope to reveal this violence to the community in order to empower survivors.
