Education for Survivors/Victims

The YWCA Domestic Violence Outreach Program serves, educates and advocates for those affected by domestic violence in the Cuyahoga County community.

FREE Domestic Violence Classes - If you suspect that you or someone you love is experiencing abuse, sign up for this class to get your questions about domestic violence answered.

 

The course covers:

  • What is domestic violence?
  • Assertiveness Training
  • Red Flags to look for in batterers behavior
  • The effects of domestic violence on children
  • How the law applies to domestic violence
  • Anger management
  • Self esteem
  • How to build healthy relationships

The YWCA can help you.The classes are repeated every eight weeks. Certificates are awarded to those who successfully complete the program. The classes are available at Westside and downtown locations.
