STUDY CIRCLE PROGRAM

The YWCA supports policies that contribute to the elimination of racism.  This includes but is not limited to policies that eliminate racial profiling, increase immigrant rights, retain and strengthen affirmative action, reduce hate crimes and result in increased education on racism and its elimination.

To combat racism in Adams County, the YWCA helps promote local study circles.  The Many Voices, One Goal Study Circle Program is designed to:

• Change individual attitudes and behavior
• Create new relationships and networks
• Foster new working collaborations
• Promote institutional change
• Bring about change in public policy
• Change community dynamics
• Improve quality of life for the entire community
