Many of you may remember activities you
participated in as a child at the YWCA, or
       perhaps your mothers and grandmothers
have shared stories of what the YWCA
       meant to them...

          '
Never doubt that a small group of
              thoughtful people can change the
world.  Indeed, it is the only thing
              that ever has.'

support us and strengthen our community
Collectively, throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, the YWCA has been in the forefront of most major movements in the United States as a pioneer in race relations, labor union representation and women's health initiatives. Today, still owned, led and managed by women, the YWCA is a force for change and is committed to the economic, political, social and emotional growth and empowerment of the 2 million women and girls it represents in the United States and 25 million women worldwide in over 120 countries.
