On June12, Board member, Rocio Villalobos, and Generation YW Youth Specialist, Monet Munoz, along with other local YWCA association leaders headed to 265 meetings on Capitol Hill, 44% of which were held with Senators and Representatives.

Capitol Hill Day was a productive day of advocacy for our YWCA activists from across the country, using our Persimmon Power to advocate for our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Read more... 

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-WI) met with YWCA leaders to discuss the need for policymakers to prioritize an economic agenda for women and families, reminding us that “when women succeed, America succeeds.”
