YWCA Breast and Cervical Health Network
The YWCA Breast & Cervical Health Network was named in memory of our good friend and founder of the program, Elaine S. Boynton (pictured above- right- with YWCA President & CEO, Charlene Ventura)
The Breast & Cervical Health Network is a collaborative effort of health agencies, health groups, health systems, and health practitioners. The YWCA coordinates this network and seeks to ensure that underserved women in Cincinnati are educated, screened, and supported for breast and cervical cancer. The Breast & Cervical Health Network is available for outreach, educational presentations, and referrals for information on screenings, treatment, and support for breast and cervical cancer. Community Outreach programs include educational programs with instruction on breast self-exams, mammograms using local hospital mammography vans, and other health and wellness information.

Water Lilies is an aquatic program for women who are recovering from mastectomies. This gentle exercise program helps increase flexibility and strength and decrease pain, stiffness, and swelling in a supportive environment.

Great Beginnings a collaborative effort between the YWCA, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and the American Cancer Society provides young women between the ages of 16-21 with educational presentations regarding breast and cervical health |
