Adult Day Service
For over 25 years the YWCA ADS has provided day care for senior citizens! Adults experiencing limitations or decline in their Activities of Daily Living due to advancing age or the effects of chronic diseases may benefit from participating in a structured day program.
Seniors who might otherwise be confined to their homes may experience improved physical and emotional health when interacting with a positive, friendly staff and other seniors during the day. Families also benefit when provided with a respite from caretaking responsibilities.
Seniors are provided with:

Health monitoring by qualified nursing staff

Medication supervision and administration,

Various educational, recreational and therapeutic activities including crafts, music and exercise programs

Nutritious meals including breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Transportation is provided for residents of Madison County.

Funding is available through the Illinois Department on Aging for seniors meeting eligibility requirements.
ADS hours are from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday (extended hours by special arrangement.)
