adult mentoring

The adult mentoring program provide mentors to non-traditional students, largely single mothers on public assistance or limited incomes, who identified education or training as the means to economic self-sufficiency.

The purpose of the mentoring program is to break the cycle of poverty for women and their families, through the accomplishment of employment educational, and personal goals. Mentors are required to complete a formal training process that includes information on goal setting and available community resources.  All goal setting occurs within an efficient, volunteer-centered service delivery model, with employed staff providing essential support to mentees and mentors.
