YWCA Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Program
Donation Needs for the Women's Shelter
To donate items to the YWCA Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Program women’s shelter:
First, please call Janet at the domestic violence program office (765-423-4486). She can tell you whether a particular donation can be accepted and can work with you to make arrangements for you to drop off the donation(s). In most cases, donations can be delivered to the office at 604 N. 6th Street (across the street from the main YWCA building) in Lafayette. The office is usually open 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Typical Donation Needs
Donation needs for the women’s shelter can vary seasonally. The YWCA does not have the space to store items that are out of season. The following list includes items that typically can be used, but please call ahead at 765-423-4486 to confirm the need before delivering your donation. This will save you time and effort. Thank you!
