About YWCA Rock County
The work of the YWCA Rock County focuses on four strategic areas: violence in our homes and communities; racial justice; economic empowerment; and member/community services & advocacy. Services include a shelter for victims of abuse; quality child care programs; CARE House - a child advocacy center; transitional living apartments and self sufficiency services; and a Women's Economic Empowerment Center. Frequently asked questions
What does your organization need for donations?
Because of limited space and the safety of our clients, YWCA Rock County partners with other local non-profit organizations for item donations. We ask that all clothing, used toys, child safety seats, furniture and other household items be taken to: Acts of Kindness, 1212 S. Oakhill Ave. (608) 728-0841. For furniture donations, please visit Salvation Army or call Rock Responds (608) 757-3051.
Current needs include: groceries, pillows, sheets, blankets, cleaning and laundry supplies, personal hygiene products, towels, underwear, socks, diapers, baby formula, bus tokens, gas and phone cards, blank DVDs, batteries.
