Racial Justice Workshops and Dialogue Series

The YWCA of the University of Illinois offers a variety of racial justice classes, workshops, discussion groups and certifications. These sessions are an excellent way of providing a more comprehensive understanding about what is racism and how it moves in today's society. All of our workshops and classes are taught by University of Illinois professors, faculty and staff. Below are a list of racial justice workshops.

Obtaining a Level 1 Racial Justice Certification:

Racial Justice Workshop on March 2!

The YWCA is offering a Racial Justice Workshop on March 2, 2013 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. All attendees will receive a Level 1 Racial Justice Certificate of completion after the workshop.

Registration Details:

The cost for the Level 1 Racial Justice Workshop is $25.00. To register for the workshop please fill out a registration form. You can either fill out a registration form and make a payment online, or send in the registration form and make a payment to the address below. Registration is due by Thursday February 27 at 12:00 p.m.

The YWCA will accept check or credit card only. Please make all checks payable to the YWCA of the University of Illinois and mail   to the address listed above. To pay with a credit card please pay online at www.ywca.org/universityofillinois.

Event Details:

 The Level One Racial Justice Certification seminar will take place at the University YMCA/YWCA located at 1001 S. Wright St in Champaign. Our building is on the corner of Chalmers and Wright St, across from Lincoln Hall on the U of I campus.

Parking:

Please feel free to park in the parking lot behind the building for free or there are metered parking available on the street.

Workshop Length:

Registration and Continental Breakfast will be from 8:00 a.m. 8:30 a.m. The Level One Racial Justice Certification Seminar will begin at 8:30 a.m and last until 4:30 p.m.

 Certification:

 At the end of the seminar all participants will be awarded a Level 1: Racial Justice Certificate.

 

Included Meals:

The YWCA will provide a continental breakfast including coffee and a catered lunch.
