In 2005 the YWCA Clinton celebrated our 90th birthday and are looking forward to many more years providing programs and services

Founded in 1915 by a group of women who met as a Bible study group, the YW has evolved as programs and services have changed to meet the needs of women and families in our community.  However, in looking back we find common ground with our foremothers and the theme chosen for the dedication of our building in 1921 still rings true.  It was: 

"By the work you do, by the dreams you dream, by the visions you see shall you know one another."

The YWCA of Clinton is a not-for-profit service organization which, regardless of race or economic status, gives women and their families opportunities for growth and wellness.Our mission, the empowerment of women and the elimination of racism, is the cornerstone on which programs are planned and that vision drives the YWCA to create opportunities for growth, leadership and power for women, girls and their familiesWe hope that as you browse through our site, you will find a class, program, special event or activity that especially interests you and that you will join us!
