YWCA Women of Achievement

The YWCA Women of Achievement Luncheon was established in 1982 to increase community awareness and appreciation of the diverse contributions of women whose lives, talents and passions shape the Spokane community. The luncheon has evolved into the YWCA of Spokane’s largest fundraising event, sponsored by over 27 companies and organizations each year. All proceeds directly benefit YWCA programs, supporting its mission to eliminate racism and empower women.

About the Luncheon

The annual YWCA Women of Achievement Luncheon hosts over 1,000 professionals and philanthropic individuals who join the YWCA  in celebrating the accomplishments and contributions of over 170 award winners to date.

This year's Women of Achievement Luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, 2009 and will be held at the Old Spokane Convention Center. This year's guest speaker is Alison Levine, Team Captain of the First American Women’s Everest Expedition and Groundbreaking Polar Adventurer.

Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2009 Women of Achievement Awards. Please nominate someone special today by printing and submitting the following Nomination Form.

Award categories include Woman of Achievement (Arts and Culture), Woman of Achievement (Professional), Woman of Achievement (Volunteer Community Service), Woman of Achievement (Science), Young Woman of Achievement, and the Carl Maxey Racial Justice Award (awarded to a woman, man or organization).
