The YWCA of Greater Baton Rouge is seeking a dynamic and visionary CEO with proven leadership and management experience. The selected candidate will demonstrate a passion for the YWCA mission and have a successful track record running a comparably-sized nonprofit.  She/he will be a proven leader with the willingness to take calculated risks in forming innovative, collaborative efforts both within the YWCA and the communities served. The CEO will have an understanding of working with a Board of Directors and able to relate to people of all ages, races and socio-economic backgrounds. Bachelor degree is required, graduate degree preferred. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of 7 years of management experience including a broad knowledge of all aspects of financial management, fundraising, personnel management, and grant compliance. Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree preferred.

YWCA Center for Family Empowerment Receives Accreditation from ProLiteracy

Through accreditation ProLiteracy seeks to promote continuous quality improvement and to support capacity building. ProLiteracy's accreditation system is the only national accreditation designed for adult literacy organizations that deliver instructional services using trained volunteers.

ENCOREplus receives grant from Avon Foundation for Women for the 17th year 

The Avon Breast Health Outreach Program has awarded an $80,000 one-year grant to the YWCA's ENCOREplus program to increase awareness of the life-saving benefits of early detection of breast cancer.
