Child Care Referrals         
The YWCA assists parents and caretakers in their search for child care through referrals, individual counseling and provider workshops.

Parents can search for child care in DuPage and Kane Counties through the online child care referral service.

In DuPage and Kane Counties, an enhanced search service, offering verified openings by phone is available. This referral service is also offered to employers to enhance employee benefit packages. Child care consultation and referral services in DuPage and Kane Counties are funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services.

Costs 

Fees are determined by a sliding scale in DuPage and Kane Counties.

Enhanced phone and online search service is available for an additional fee.

IDHS Child Care Assistance
The YWCA's Child Care Resource and Referral Services (CCR&R) manages the IDHS Child Care Assistance program in DuPage and Kane Counties to help low-income families afford legal child care services.

Community Outreach
The YWCA community outreach program works to establish connections with other early childhood professionals and organizations to keep current on issues relating to families with young children. The programs inform the public and legislators about early childhood issues in order to impact the quality of early education and care in Illinois.

Child Care Nurse Consultant
Through a collaboration with the health departments of DuPage and Kane Counties, our nurse consultant program offers referrals to health resources and helps parents and child care providers with child care, health and safety questions.
