About the YWCA

The YWCA of Greater Charleston, Inc. has been serving women and children in Charleston since 1907. The YWCA’s priorities include increasing the income of Charleston-area women by expanding training for women from all socio-economic and racial backgrounds; helping women find affordable and accessible child care;

providing children with opportunities to enable them to succeed in school and in life; nurturing the health and wellness of local girls and women; and educating children and adults about the devastating impact of racism, hate crimes, and discrimination in the lives of all people.
