For over 25 years, Dove House has been working to restore safety, dignity and hope to women whose lives have been marred by domestic violence, one of the most pervasive threats to women's safety and well-being both nationally and locally.  Dove House operates two protective shelters in Butler County, Ohio, one in Hamilton and one in Middletown.  In addition, Dove House provides a 24-hour crisis hotline, advocacy for victims, training to increase self-sufficiency, and a survivors' support group.  Dove House provides educational and outreach programs to both educate the community about the cycle of domestic violence and to give victims the support and courage to seek help.

Every 2 ½ minutes, someone in the United States is sexually assaulted. One in three women has been a victim of domestic violence. Twenty-five percent of college women have been raped. Seventy percent of cyberstalking victims are female. Forty percent of teenage girls ages 14 to 17 say they know someone their age who has been hit or beaten by a boyfriend. More than 5.7 million youth are estimated to be involved in bullying.  Homicide is the leading cause of death for all pregnant women. 18,000 to 20,000 of the vicitims of human trafficking are trafficked into the United States annually.

"National Week Without Violence" is an initiative of the YWCA of the USA, raising awareness of Domestic Violence and the needs of it's victims. Our own YWCA operates Dove House, two protective shelters located in undisclosed locations in Butler County, serving victims of all ages. Dove House provides a wide array of life-saving services, including a 24-hour Crisis Hotline: 1-800-618-6523

Annual Candlelight Vigil
