Why Volunteer? Because in as little as two hours, individuals and groups can make a difference! Sharing your skills as a tutor, mentor, workshop facilitator, office assistant, or serving on our governing and fundraising committees, your contribution of time, resources and skills support our staff in delivering services that change lives for the better.
Volunteers, whether they are regular on-going volunteers or short-term, episodic volunteers, represent the wonderful diversity to be found in Delaware and the surrounding areas.
YWCA Delaware has volunteer opportunities year round, both long and short term. If you are ready to get started please contact our volunteer coordinator.

Administrative Offices located in downtown Wilmington, volunteers are instrumental in assisting our Development, Marketing, Finance and Racial Justice Departments with duties that support all of our programs. Duties vary from clerical assistant, answering telephones, help with special events, marketing strategies and ideas, and other administrative duties.
Home-Life Management Center in Wilmington, volunteers are essential to helping our staff provide services such as tutoring, mentoring, youth group activities, field trips, computer skills, as well as creative writing, story telling, music, dance and drama for our youth, young adults and adult population.
We are in need of workshop facilitators who can teach life skills, self esteem building and other character building and motivational skills so that our clients can achieve an independent life style. Your creative input and hands-on work can help make a world of difference in the lives of our residents.
