The Young Women's Christian Association is a women's membership movement nourished by its roots in the Christian faith and sustained by the richness of many beliefs and values.  Strengthened by diversity, the Association draws together members who strive to create opportunities for women's growth, leadership, and power in order to attain a common vision: peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people.

Reunite with your old summer friends and make new ones at the YWCA Summer Camp 2010!  Camp will run from June 28th, 2010 through September 3rd, 2010.  Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00am-6:00pm.  Send your K-5th graders for a fun and exciting summer experience.  Call the YWCA at 692-5580 for more information.

Register now for the 2010 Summer Enrichment Program!  This program begins July 5th, 2010 and runs to August 27th, 2010.  The 2 year old program is on Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00-11:00am.  The 3-4 year old program is on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00-11:30am.  Call the YWCA for further information.

Upcoming Events (Con't)

Common Sense Parenting Class will be held at the Western New York Children’s Psychiatric Center, 1010 East & West Road, West Seneca, NY,  starting February 16th 2010 and running every Tuesday through March 23rd, 2010. Call Jan Krull at 677-7087 for further information.

 The YWCA is proud to announce a new program being offered called “Heavenly Paws”.  This is an animal bereavement class, which is beginning on February 22nd, 2010, and will be held every other Monday, from 6:00-7:30pm.

The YWCA Tonawandas, in conjunction with the Riviera Theatre, is running it’s winter film series. 

March 20th 2010 movie is “Alvin and the Chipmunks:The Squeakquel”, rated PG, show time 1:00pm only. 

“Toothfairy” will be shown on April 3rd, 2010, 1:00pm only, and this movie is  rated PG. 

All shows are $2.00 per person.  Bring an item for the YWCA food pantry, and you will have a chance to win a movie poster. 

 YWCA and EPIC will be offering EPIC Parenting Classes at the YWCA Tonawanda. There are two classes being offered, Fridays 3/12/10, from 10 am- 12 pm, and Tuesdays, 3/23/10, from 6 pm- 7:45 pm. These classes run for 10 consecutive weeks and are for court and other mandated clients, as well as not at risk parents.
