The YWCA of Greensboro, a well-known organization with a 106 year history serving the Greensboro community, seeks an innovative, results-oriented Executive Director to lead the association’s financial and organizational growth. Continually striving to influence policy, the YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
The YWCA is a premier provider of community services – including specialized after-school programs and our nationally known Teen-Parent Mentor Program.
The successful candidate will have a passion for the YWCA mission and the ability to effectively communicate this mission, and possess strong leadership skills. Three or more years experience in strategic planning and fiscal management of a non-profit organization with a budget of $500K to $1M plus, or related private sector experience is required. Candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in non-profit management or a related field and have a proven track record in developing and implementing revenue-producing programs, grant writing and fundraising. In addition, candidates will have a proven track record in community and public relations activities, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and possess strong MS Office and QuickBooks proficiencies.
