YWCA Children's Center at Family Court
Funded by the Permanent Judicial Commission on Children, a program of the NYS Unified Court System
Children's Centers were established in New York State courthouses in order to provide a safe, educational and fun place for children to stay while their parents/guardians are involved in court proceedings. The Centers were conceived as a safe haven for children, as well as a place parents could feel comfortable knowing their children were well cared for as they deal with the crisis that brought them to court. YWCA childcare staff connects families to vital services and provides information and referral to a variety of health, education and family support services.

YWCA Supervised Visitation Program
Funded, in part, by the Orange County United Way
The YWCA Orange County Supervised Visitation Program provides non-custodial parents/guardians visitation with their children when so ordered by family court. The program establishes an environment during visitation that promotes healthy, appropriate relationship building between the parent/guardian and child. YWCA staff connect families with related family support services as appropriate. The YWCA Supervised Visitation Program exists to provide family court judges with information to help in their custody and visitation decision-making. The program works in collaboration with the Dispute Resolution Center and Cornell Cooperative Extension to provide "Parents Apart" - a parenting education series for separated/divorced families.
