Gourmet groups are composed of five couples, which prepare and share five distinctive gourmet dinners on five designated Saturday nights, using five tantalizing menus.  Each of the five couples hosts one of the dinners at their home, and the others are responsible for one course each.

The menu selections are designed to be both varied and interesting without being intimidating to prepare.  We aim to make each menu different from the last to suit a variety of tastes, cooking abilities and ingredients.

Menus, recipes and suggested wine selections are posted to the password protected section of this website approximately two weeks prior to the dinner dates; Gourmet participants are notified of their availability by email.

Gourmet groups are organized over the summer and throughout the year as new people join the YW.  Every couple that signs up will be grouped with 4 other couples for a total of 10 people.  You may also choose to form your own group of 5 couples.

The 2008-09 Gourmet season is underway but it’s not too late to join the fun. 

• Pre-formed groups may join at any time; simply remit the pre-formed group application and check.

• Due to the extreme interest in Gourmet, we've added a 'latecomers' deadline for couples still wishing to join: November 1, 2008. We will pair you with a compatible group of people, forming your group just in time for the last three menus. You and your group will have the option to cook the first two menus at other times if you choose. We must receive your completed application and check by November 1. There will be no further extensions.
