YWCA Central Virginia eliminates racism and empowers women through a variety of services provided at our two facilities:

YW Town Center

Our main building, located in downtown Lynchburg, serves as residential and transitional housing for women as well as the site for our many programs.

Domestic Violence Prevention Center

Our shelter provides a safe place for women and children escaping violent homes.  The Center provides emergency housing, food, couseling, court advocacy, support groups, legal services, and a 24-hour hotline.  Please call 528-1041 or click  here for more information.

Church Street Bridal

Church Street Bridal Shop offers all new Bridal Gowns for$200- $500.  These dresses retailed originally between $800-$10,000, Prom Dresses and Formal Gowns for  $25 to $150. The Bridal Shop serves as a fundraiser for the YW, with all proceeds going directly back into YW programs.

Church Street Bridal will be closed Thursday November 26 and Friday November 27 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  We will reopen on Saturday, November 28 at 12pm.
