The YWCA is pleased to announce the addition of the Sexual Assault Response Program (SARP) effective January 1.
YW Town Center
Our main building, located in downtown Lynchburg, serves as residential and transitional housing for women as well as the site for our many programs.
Domestic Violence Prevention Center
Our shelters provide a safe place for women and children escaping violent homes. The DVPC provides emergency housing, food, couseling, court advocacy, support groups, and a 24-hour hotline. In 2004, Church Street Bridal opened its doors with the help of dedicated YW staff members, board members and volunteers.
For a project such as this, it takes many hands to start, cultivate, nurture and go forward creating a legacy. Continuing the work of those who developed and established Church Street Bridal in 2004, the brand has branched from it’s original roots to include:
Church Street Bridal
(April 2004)-housing bridal gowns and accessories
and
Church Street Bridal, Too (August 2007)-housing our ever-growing collection of bridesmaids, formal, Mother-of-the-Bride and prom gowns

The YWCA Domestic Violence Prevention Center continues to hold support group meetings on the following evenings:
Mondays from 6:30 - 7:30 for women and children in our community
Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 for our in-house residents
