YWCA Delaware is a nonprofit organization that is committed to community service focusing on the special needs of women. We assist in attaining life-changing skills, building healthy relationships, with a focus on racial equity and advancing women and their families economically. It is our goal to help women achieve independence and to encourage their personal development.
We are valued as a voice for women- politically, socially and individually- and as a means for women in all stages and walks of life to bring strength to each other.

YWCA Delaware congratulates JPMorgan Chase for being chosen for the 2009 Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Award in the area of Human Needs!
JPMorgan Chase is the single largest corporate donor to the YWCA Delaware. The financial support that we receive from Chase is essential and enables us to serve over 5,000 with our various programs. In addition to their strong financial backing, they also have a formidable group of volunteers. Chase volunteers have proven to be an invaluable resource to us. They are involved in planning and executing our fundraising events, they work with our homeless residents, they collect and donate needed items to the women at our single women’s residence, they present workshops, participate on our advisory committees and sit on our board of directors. We are truly grateful to our friends at JPMorgan Chase and we are proud to have nominated them for this prestigious award! Congratulations from YWCA Delaware!
