The YWCA of Youngstown is a non-profit social service organization that has been meeting the needs of women, children, and families since 1904.
Child care and youth development programs, housing for homeless women and families, and health education and outreach are offered at the historic building in downtown Youngstown and at sites throughout the community.
The YWCA's mission is the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women.

Housing and Supportive Services for Women and Families 
The YWCA's Barbara Wick Transitional House, Project Independence, and Scattered Site Housing programs provide housing and supportive services for homeless women and homeless families with children in the Mahoning Valley. more

Screenings
and Education
The YWCA is committed to educating women about health and wellness issues through health screenings, support groups, and outreach in the community. The MammoVan, a mobile mammography unit, offers mammograms at the YWCA each month to provide convenient access to this important health screening for women over age 40. more
Lupus Support Group
A support group for people with lupus and their friends and family meets the first Tuesday of each month at noon at the YWCA. more
