Laura Jennings currently serves as the CEO of KNACKSHOPS.COM, an ecommerce company she founded in 2014. She began her career in the technology industry in 1988. From 1988 through 2000, she served in various senior management roles at Microsoft Corporation, including Vice President of MSN, Vice President of the Messaging Business Unit, and Vice President of Worldwide Strategic Planning. Following her Microsoft career, Laura served as a Senior Principal for international venture capital firm Atlas Venture, where she managed information technology investments across both their Menlo Park, Calif., and Seattle, Wash., offices.
Laura is active in her local community, serving on the board of the YWCA of Seattle, King and Snohomish Counties for over a dozen years, including chairing the board and co-chairing a successful $43 million capital campaign during her tenure. She has also served as a Trustee of Seattle Children’s Hospital, where she chaired the finance committee. Laura was appointed by both Governor Christine Gregoire and Governor Jay Inslee to serve on the Washington State University Board of Regents, where she has served as both Board and Finance Committee chair. In addition to YWCA USA and Washington State University Board of Regents, Laura also currently serves as a director for Laird Norton Company and Laird Norton Wealth Management.
Laura holds a graduate degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
