Field Organizer, Public Policy and Advocacy
Asha Kuziwa is a field organizer at YWCA USA, where she designs advocacy strategies to engage the entire YWCA network, as well as supporters in key federal policy work. She is an experienced community organizer who has worked on climate justice and prison divestment campaigns, facilitated trainings on coalition building and collective liberation, and coached others to come into their own power as organizers.
Asha holds a B.A in Global Liberal Studies from New York University, and is currently pursuing a certificate in Trauma Informed Care from the University of Buffalo’s School of Social Work. In her spare time Asha teaches cooking classes, takes care of her garden, and travels as much as she can.
