Uplifting Empowered Woman for Women’s History Month

For Women’s History Month, YWCA USA is focusing on how Empowered Women Change the World and uplifting everyday sheroes. To celebrate the sheroes in our organization, we will be highlighting the stories of women who are holding our families and communities together during the COVID-19 pandemic, from taking on virtual schooling to working on the front lines of the pandemic response. We will be accepting nominations of clients, volunteers, association staff, and other women throughout the month to shout out on social media and honor on our Empowered Women Change the World landing page.

We would love to hear stories of sheroes who have been critical resources in their community and families despite the systemic barriers that women face. This initiative aims to uplift those everyday sheroes who do not often get recognized for their continuous efforts to empower and support those around them.
