Description

Join YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix for : A documentary screening and talkback. The Janes, a documentary of an unconventional group of rebels. Despite the state legislature's ban on abortion, the members of Jane bravely risked their personal and professional lives to aid women in need. During the pre-Roe v. Wade era, the Janes offered low-cost and free abortions to an estimated 11,000 women. Special guest Heather Booth and Rev Patricia Novack will be leading a talkback discussion.
