YWCA USA and Partners in Women’s Advocacy Community Urge Congress to Prioritize the Needs and Concerns of Women and Girls

Letter to Congress: Women’s Community Legislative Priorities to Build a Strong Foundation for Women and Girls

YWCA USA and partners from over 63 national, state, and local organizations in the women’s advocacy community urge Members of Congress to take action on the key needs and concerns of women and girls. As a country, we have seen a growing demand for action on policies that secure and protect women and girl’s rights, equality, justice and inclusion.

At this critical moment for our nation, we urge the 116th U.S. Congress to prioritize legislation that directly addresses women’s needs and concerns regarding equal pay and workplace fairness, violence prevention, health care and reproductive rights, and equity, safety, and opportunity for marginalized people and communities. Moreover, we urge the 116th Congress to chart a path forward that opens doors, breaks down barriers, and rejects policies that undermine opportunities for women and girls to succeed.
