YWCA USA Welcomes Four New Board Members

WASHINGTON, DC - YWCA USA is pleased to welcome the appointment of four new members to its national Board of Directors and the re-election of six current members.

Newly elected members are:  Adrienne W. Cochrane, J.D. - President & CEO, YWCA Hartford Region; Danita V. Knight - CEO, YWCA Greater Atlanta; Erika McConduit, Esq. - Owner & CEO, Emmconduit Consulting LLC and Karen M. R. Townsend, Ph.D. - President and CEO, KTownsend Consulting.

Re-elected members are: Cristina Ayala, Vice Chair - Principal & Managing Director, CA Consulting, Strategies, Management; Deon Riley, DBA - Former Chief Human Resources Officer, Bath & Body Works; Joanne Tabellija-Murphy - National Director of Constituent Relations and Corporate Affairs, Walmart; Kara Perkins, EdD - Associate VP, Budget & Administration, California State University at Long Beach; Mallory Donaldson - Executive Director of Operations, Archie and Bonita Griffin Foundation Fund; Ramya Rauf - CFO/VP, Finance & Administration, Northwest Area Foundation

The YWCA USA Board of Directors consists of 21 members who provide visionary, mission-based leadership and financial oversight for YWCA USA, in addition to serving as constant advocates for the YWCA movement. Their strategic governance promotes and supports the critical programs which serve approximately one million women and families through the YWCA network of more than 190 local YWCA associations in 46 states and the District of Columbia.

“Our network is at its best when it reflects the strength, diversity, and innovation of the communities we serve,” said YWCA USA Board Chair, Ashlee Davis. “These new board members will play an important role in guiding YWCA USA and supporting the impact of our Local Associations across the country.”

YWCA USA’s Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction and strengthening the impact of its nationwide network of Local Associations serving more than one million women, girls, and families annually.

“Strong governance is essential to advancing our mission and sustaining our impact nationwide,” said YWCA USA CEO, Margaret Mitchell. “We are excited to welcome these new members and grateful for the continued leadership of those re-elected. Together, this group brings the experience and perspective needed to help our network meet this moment and continue building more equitable communities.”
